Fire on my Swollen Lips!

Today I woke up at roughly 11:30 in the morning, I noticed my lips were particularly dry so i licked them....noticing nothing else. I got up out of bed and to my full length mirror to remove all the smeared makeup from the day before....but aside from my eyes...I noticed my lip. It was HUGELY swollen with what looked like a cold sore...I thought I was gonna die because I used to get really bad cold sores a lot and I was worried they were returning...but I had no idea how it got there....Later that day I showed my sister and she said it didnt look like a cold sore, but sun burn...I was kinda relieved but I still had a problem, how was I going to go to the carnival with my friends tonight????
