Burns First Aid

Burns First Aid

Being burned is a singular and extremely painful experience. No matter what kind of burn it is, it can range from discomfort to excruciating pain. There are burns first aid solutions that can help you deal with the agony that can result from burns.

The first thing that you should do when you have been burned, is soak the burn in cool water. Make sure that you do not use very cold water, and do not run the burn under cold water from a faucet, as this can result in skin damage. Many people do not know that many burns are the same, whether they are chemical or sunburn, or other types. This means that they can also be treated in much the same way.

One of the most helpful products to use for burns first aid, is Aloe Vera gel, cream, or lotion. This can be applied directly to the burn, and helps with the painful burning and swelling. It also helps keep the skin from becoming more damaged . Vitamin E is another terrific product that can applied to burns to aid in healing, and prevent scars from forming on the burned skin.

If the burn you have is extensive, or is on areas of the body that are sensitive, like the face, hands, feet, or genitals, then a doctor should be seen right away. They can give you medication that can keep your skin from becoming infected, and stop the horrible pain as well.

Some things that you probably have a home that can be used for burns that aren't too severe, are things like baking soda. You simply make it into a paste with water, and put it right on the burn. This is a highly effective scalds first aid treatment. This will help with the pain, and keep burn blisters from popping up. It should be kept on the area for an hour, and then rinsed off. It can be reapplied as often as needed.

Another burns first aid treatment that you have at home is a tomato. These are perfect for minor burns, and should be put on the burn as soon as possible. It has lycopene, which is a natural anti-inflammatory. This fruit helps to take out the swelling in the burn, and bring the water from the blisters out. Just slice the tomato, and apply it right to the burn, and take off after 10 minutes. This can be done twice a day for relief from burns. After the juice dries totally, it can be rinsed off the skin.

Another natural remedy you can try is St. John's Wort Oil. This can be found at any natural foods store. It can be applied to the burn 3 or 4 times daily, and works as a natural antibiotic and anti-inflammatory. This also stops scars from forming, and is a great scalds first aid treatment solution.

Any of these tips can help, but some will work better for you than others. Trial and error will determine the best burns first aid treatment for you. If you or someone you love has burns that are severe, or cover large parts of the body, then a doctor's help needs to be sought. Top
